Nut butter is undeniably one of the best things on earth. With toast and sliced banana, sandwiched between to slices of bread, mixed in stir fry, baked in puddings, blended into a smoothie, stirred into porridge - god damn it, it’s even divine just off a spoon. And the best thing is it comes in so many varieties: peanut, almond, cashew, macademia, hazelnut… so many different butters to try. Because we understand your cravings, here are some amazing recipes with one essential ingredient: nut butter taken straight from our cookbooks Easy Vegan by Sue Quinn and My Family Table by Eleanor Ozich.
We associate summer with a lot of things (ice cream, festivals, jet setting and beer gardens to name a few) and most importantly, hauling out the BBQ back from it’s most frequent location The Shed and settling it on to the garden patio in its rightful place. After all, nothing screams summer more than basking in the sun with a Pimms in one hand and a spatula in the other as you wait to turn the sausages and flip the burgers. So we’re celebrating summer with some grillspiration for you all, taken straight from our cookbooks Summer on Fat Pig Farm by Matthew Evans and King of the Grill by Ross Dobson. So if any of you are UK residents you will know that summer has FINALLY arrived. In true Brit fashion, we’ve gone from complaining non-stop about the lack of sun to the fact that it is unbearably hot, whilst slapping on factor 50 and fanning ourselves with whatever we can find (this morning it was a copy of Time Out on the central line in a desperate attempt not to faint).
To get us back to embracing the rays, we’ve got four cold and icy recipes to help you survive the heat. We’ve even thrown in a couple of healthy options, for those of you who want something yummy but don’t want to overload on the calories.
